Reno Staffing is looking for a Machinist for a metal manufacturing company in the Reno, NV area!

Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PMPay: $26/hrLocation: Reno, NV 89502 (Bus route accessible)
Summary: As a Machinist, you’ll help prepare metal parts for welding and fabrication, operate machining equipment, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and assist with general maintenance. You’ll work with mills, lathes, drill presses, and cutting tools to ensure parts meet precise measurements and quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.
  • Select the best machining methods to meet required tolerances and finishes.
  • Perform calculations for forming work pieces, including speed and feed.
  • Choose tools/materials and plan cutting and finishing sequences.
  • Operate mills, lathes, drill presses, and cutting equipment.
  • Mark work pieces and prepare parts for welding/fabrication.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment issues.
  • Perform general maintenance as needed.
  • Use forklift/tow motor to move materials, load/unload trucks, and change gas tanks.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs; push/pull up to 70 lbs; transfer 50–100 lbs with assistance.
  • Stand for long periods and safely use hand/power tools.
At the discretion of your lead or supervisor, you could be required to perform additional jobrelated activities not specifically outlined above.
Competency:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Ability to read and use measuring devices accurately.
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
  • Experience with machining equipment (mills, lathes, drill presses) is a plus.
  • Ability to operate a forklift/tow motor.
  • Good vision and attention to detail.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Manufacturing or machining experience preferred.
