Position Description

Quality Enterprises USA, Inc., a leading heavy civil construction company, is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to perform maintenance, diagnosis, and repairs on company equipment and heavy machinery in a safe, efficient, and quality-focused manner at their Naples, FL location.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Oversee the upkeep, maintenance, and repair work on heavy construction equipment including bulldozers, cranes, graders, and other equipment.
  • Adjust equipment and repair and/or replace defective parts, components, or systems using hand and power tools.
  • Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer's specifications.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment.
  • Service attachments and tools such as blades, ploughs, winches, and side booms.
  • Complete required inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment to maximize safety, productivity, and lifespan.
  • Craft thorough reports and records in a timely manner and provide final documentation to upper management.
  • Monitor equipment for compliance with prescribed operating and safety standards.
  • Participate in general shop operations and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Must be able to look at mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, identify problems and think about possible solutions.
  • Experience with Directional Drills, crushers, and cranes a plus.
  • Experience with CAT preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Heavy equipment maintenance experience required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., have a valid CDL license and DOT physical card, and pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes and work cooperatively and jointly.
