Job Title: Equipment Technician
Location: Jeffersonville, IN
Salary Rate: $27/hr - $29/hr (USD) on W2
Job Description:
We are seeking an Equipment Technician to support manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on technical experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and equipment reliability.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Monitor equipment operation during assigned shifts and make necessary adjustments to maintain production efficiency.
  • Collaborate with production teams to resolve equipment-related issues and support uninterrupted manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and repair actions, and prepare shift reports as needed.
  • Follow established maintenance procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards.
  • Assist with the setup and calibration of new equipment and support equipment upgrades and modifications.
  • Participate in shift handovers and communicate ongoing issues, completed tasks, and relevant updates to incoming teams.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and equipment optimization.
  • Work assigned shifts, including nights, weekends, or other non-standard hours as required by operational needs.

Requirements:
  • Associate's degree or vocational training in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in equipment engineering, maintenance, or manufacturing equipment support preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing equipment, with hands-on troubleshooting and repair experience.
  • Familiarity with solar cell production equipment such as screen printers, diffusion furnaces, wet benches, and PECVD systems is highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues efficiently.
  • Ability to work assigned shifts, including nights, weekends, and other non-standard hours as required.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency with maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Commitment to workplace safety, quality, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement.
