Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Glazing Apprentice to join our team and learn the trade of commercial and residential glass installation.  This is an entry-level, hands-on role designed for someone eager to build a career in the glazing industry while working alongside experienced installers.
As a Glazing Apprentice, you will assist with the installation of glass, aluminum framing systems, shower enclosures, storefronts, and other glazing systems.  You’ll gain real-world experience on active job sites, develop technical skills, and learn industry best practices for safety, precision, and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist experienced Glazing Technicians with the installation, replacement, and repair of glass and glazing systems on commercial and residential projects 
  •  Support installation of storefronts, curtain wall systems, entrances, windows, shower enclosures, and interior glass assemblies 
  •  Learn to read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and work orders with guidance from senior team members 
  •  Measure, cut, and prepare materials under supervision, including glass, mirrors, and aluminum framing 
  •  Safely handle, transport, and stage glass and materials using proper equipment and techniques 
  •  Assist with sealing and installing glass using appropriate glazing methods, sealants, gaskets, and fasteners 
  •  Work closely with foremen and team members to complete projects on schedule and to company quality standards 
  •  Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times 
  •  Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and jobsite-specific safety requirements 
  •  Properly use and care for tools, equipment, and company vehicles (if applicable) 
  •  Identify and communicate jobsite issues, material needs, or safety concerns to supervisors 
  •  Participate in service work, adjustments, and punch-list items as needed 
  •  Represent the company professionally when on job sites or interacting with customers 

Qualifications:
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn a skilled trade 
  • Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting and moving materials on a job site 
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions 
  • Willingness to work at heights and on ladders or lifts (with proper training) 
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools (or willingness to learn)
