Job Summary
New England Mechanical Services, Inc. (NEMSI) is an established mechanical contractor with offices throughout the Northeast. We are currently seeking a Commercial HVAC Service Technician Apprentice for our Gorham, Maine Operations Group. Selected candidate will be responsible for maintenance and repairs at our customers' locations. Duties include maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and operating commercial HVAC systems. Completion of apprentice schooling required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Include but not limited to the following.
Follow and comply with the rules and regulations of section 608 of the clean air act and occupational safety regulations mandated by federal, state and local governments.
Attend all safety training provided and/or sponsored by NEMSI.
Follow all NEMSI safety policies, procedures, and use personal protective equipment when performing installation and/or servicing HVAC systems.
Interact with the client in a professional and courteous manner while maintaining a clean and neat appearance.
Flexible to work overtime and weekends as demand requires.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the journeyman assigned to.
Qualifications
This position requires a valid driver's license, High School Diploma or equivalent, a strong work ethic, good mechanical skills, and the willingness to learn an exciting trade. Rapid advancement for the right individual. Company-paid training.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk, hear, smell and lift, set-up and climb ladders as well as stairways. The employee is frequently required to stand and occasionally sit. The employee must regularly lift and /or move various weight ranges such as 0-50 lbs. frequently, 51-100 lbs. occasionally and 101 plus seldom. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Maintain a neat and clean appearance and utilize all protective equipment provided and as required.
