Job Description:
As an Area Mechanic, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, testing, and repairing mechanical systems and equipment, including piping, steam, hydraulics, rigging, and various process machinery throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow all safety procedures, including PPE use, lockout/tagout, and first break protocols.
  • Install, disassemble, repair, and reassemble mechanical systems such as pumps, compressors, gearboxes, and blowers.
  • Align and maintain rotating equipment; inspect and replace parts like belts, chains, shafts, and valves.
  • Perform maintenance on piping systems and heavy equipment, including heat exchangers and columns.
  • Use precision tools to measure and align machinery, handle relief devices like rupture discs and vacuum breakers.
  • Utilize digital systems for documentation; must be SCBA fit tested and able to wear respiratory gear.

Ideal Profile:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 15+ year industrial maintenance, mechanical apprenticeship, or military experience.
  • Willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and on-call.
  • Physically able to lift up to 55 lbs., climb, bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces.
  • Required PPE includes Nomexยฎ, steel-toe boots, hardhat, eyewear, face shield, hearing and arc protection, and respirators.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
