Job Title
Electro Mechanical Tech III
Under little or no supervision, employee is responsible for integrating automation technology for manufacturing.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Assists in the integration of factory automation equipment and the construction of new specialized machines.
• May be required to effectively use engineering designs in the form of technical drawings, schematics, and written and verbal instructions to construct new factory automation and specialized machines of high complexity with little or no supervision.
• May be required to program PLC's using Ladder Logic and State Languages.
• May be required to interpret programs and logic diagrams facilitating in the construction of new automation and specialized machinery.
• May be required to install highly complex Industrial Robotics with elaborate I/O schemes according to engineering designs.
• Applies knowledge in the application of machine safety devices, such as light curtains, safety floor mats, anti-tie down machine activation, and fixed machine guarding used in an interlocked non-defeatable manner according to engineering instructions.
• Performs journeyman level machining operations using manual, CNC machine tools, and/or available machine shop equipment to assist in the construction of new factory automation and specialized machines.
• Performs basic welding and fabrication tasks of medium to high complexity using advanced welding and fabricating tools.
• Prepares and maintains record keeping processes as required.
• Helps train and instruct production operators in the use of automation.
• Applies mechanical principals used in the production of factory automation and supports existing automation installations.
• Maintains current knowledge of automation industry trends and technology advancements and assists with design and implementation of state of the art technology into factory automation and machine design.
• May be required to administer automation department component stock; such as PLC's, sensors, date collection devices, analog and digital components, servos, stepper motors, motor drives, wire, cable, and wiring devices.
• May serve as a training resource in the fields of machining, sheet metal fabrication and welding; engages in these trades during the construction of new automation and specialized machines.
• Recognizes point of operation industrial hazards and installs machine safeguarding devices in a fully interlocked manner according to OSHA and ANSI safety standards.
• Actively participates in the evaluation and implementation of solutions for repetitive motion operations that have potential to cause injury.
• Assists and/or performs in any and all areas as assigned.
• May work any and all shifts/days as required.
Job Requirements:
Education:
• Associates Degree in electronics/technical field
Experience:
• 8 years of experience in related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Demonstrates advanced proficiency in the use and maintenance of a large variety of tools.
• Performs detailed oriented tasks using intermediate language skills and high level math skills.
• May be required to possess advanced knowledge of AC/DC circuits, and advanced Electro-Mechanical experience.
• May be required to possess advanced knowledge of Ladder Logic and State Logic PLC languages.
• May be required to possess advanced knowledge of I/O schemes and techniques.
• May be required to possess advanced knowledge of mechanical principles and techniques.
• May be required to possess and implement advanced knowledge of Industrial Robotics.
• May be required to possess advanced knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, motion control, sensor applications, and vision systems.
• May be required to demonstrate advanced knowledge of mechanical principles and techniques.
• May be required to possess journeyman level welding and sheet metal fabrication skills and knowledge.
• Must meet all training requirements as defined by department.
• Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds

: USD 25.65 - USD 31.34
