Job description

About the Job:
As a Pump Technician at Ironclad Environmental Solutions, your primary focus will be to ensure that our units in the field and inventory are in optimal operating condition. This includes driving to customer locations to perform repairs and maintenance, as well as handling advanced repairs on returned units.


This is a safety-sensitive role that requires strict adherence to all company safety protocols and standards.
Prospective employees must submit to a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Key Responsibilities:


Field Repairs:

  • Travel to customer locations to maintain and repair Ironclad Environmental Solutions equipment on-site, including tasks such as:
  • Opening locks/doors
  • Performing minor mechanical repairs
  • Evaluating and repairing pumps and hoses
  • Setting up and disassembling equipment
  • Pressure washing and cleaning
  • Labeling, managing inventory, and documenting repairs
  • Loading/unloading equipment
  • General housekeeping and conducting site safety assessments

Yard Assistance:

  • Support yard operations by:
  • Cleaning and repairing rental equipment to ensure it is rental-ready
  • Performing minor welding, electrical work, and pump repairs
  • Cleaning tanks, repairing berms, and handling other yard tasks
  • Documenting completed work and updating maintenance records

Rotating Equipment:

  • Disassemble, evaluate, and repair rotating equipment such as pumps, motors, and gearboxes
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and replace defective parts as needed


Documentation and Safety:

  • Accurately document work performed, parts used, and any additional repairs needed
  • Follow all company safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment
  • Provide assistance to other mechanics and departments when necessary
  • This is a safety-sensitive role that requires strict adherence to all company safety protocols and standards.

• Mechanic tools (hand and power tools)
• Truck for on-site visits and equipment transport
• Welding/soldering equipment
• Telephone and radio equipment for communication
• Forklift for moving heavy units within the yard

Job Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED, required
• Minimum 1 year of inventory control or field service experience, required
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, required
• Welding experience, preferred
• Must obtain a Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC)
• Forklift certification within 90 days of hire
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Experience in the rental/pump industry, preferred
• Ability to work independently in the field, often with minimal supervision
