JOB TITLE:
Work study, UW Meat & Food Science Assistant
DEPARTMENT INFORMATION:
Animal Science Department
Job location: Animal Science building.
Pay rate or range: $14/hr.
JOB PURPOSE:
Assist with meat science program needs, specifically related to the UW Meat Judging team and Food Science Club
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Pack & Unpack for meat judging team (MJT) trips, Submit expenses reports for MJT expenses, Organize a financial summary of MJT income & expenses, Create promotional material and print supplies for MJT program outreach activities, Oversee the operations of the Animal Science/Meat Science kitchen during seasons busy with catering events facilitated by the Food Science Club including, but not limited to, event preparation, food preparation, and cleaning/organizing the facility after events.
SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
COMPETENCIES:
Reliable, responsible and on-time.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Currently enrolled student at UW.
Must be eligible, have received and accepted work study award through Student Financial Aid for the applicable semester and/or academic year.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Meat Science experience.
