Job description

Job Summary:

The Territory Sales Manager - PNW at Viscofan will be responsible for maintaining and managing a sales territory that achieves the budgeted sales objective. They will develop and maintain working relationships with a broad range of key contacts at assigned customers, focusing on selling casings to traditional meat processors.


What You'll Do:

  • Shared responsibility for business planning through participation in the budgeting process by providing short and long term sales forecasts. Will have responsibility for managing costs within budgets for assigned industries and accounts targets and customers.
  • Manage the territory sales pipeline: from identifying new business opportunities and customers and targeted accounts to regular sales, mobilizing people and coordinating their activities to effectively achieve success, specifically for field technicians and customer service.
  • Increase sales within assigned geographic territory by increasing volume at existing customers, increasing scope of products used at existing customers, contacting and developing new commercial relationship and by transitioning customers using competitors’ products.
  • Prioritize sales opportunities in order to achieve the sales growth expected.
  • High cooperation with TS, R&D, CS, SCM into this process.
  • Maintain frequent and effective communication with sales and the service organization to provide clear and accurate instructions, when necessary.
  • Coordinate with the local Diversification unit to jointly identify, manage and cross-sell Company diversified product portfolio applicable to the meat processing industry.
  • Manage targeted accounts and customer relationships.
  • Resolve customer problems and concerns through proactive efforts. Develop effective plans to resolve customer problems by effective utilization of internal resources.
  • Collects information on product performance, market trends, and competitive developments; Prepares reports to keep organization informed
  • Maintains knowledge of product profitability and specific product emphasis.


What we need from you:

  • Education: BS Engineering / BS Biology (As an alternative option: BS Business, International Commerce)
  • Specialized knowledge: Meat processing background and knowledge desirable
  • Skills: MS Office-advanced level; CRM Tools-medium/high level
  • Experience: 5-7 years solid experience working in the meat processing industry. Casing experience a definite plus.
  • Languages: English-required / Spanish-preferred
  • Well-developed communication and diplomacy skills
  • Productivity: Manages workload, works efficiently, meets goals and objectives
  • Interpersonal Skills: Builds strong relationships, is flexible/adaptable, works well with others, solicits feedback
