As a Food Services Associate - Level 2 located in Promontory, UT, you'll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.
Performs a variety of tasks associated with the kitchen and dining areas. Prepares dining and serving areas. Places linen and silverware on tables for catering events to include cleaning and working in the Scullery.
This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.
In this job, you will:
  • Responsible for cleaning the kitchen area to include floors, equipment, as well as general kitchen cleaning.
  • Responsible for picking up and storing non-food items, cleaning solutions, and paper products, kitchen cleaning and operations (machine and manual washing). Responsible for sanitation, cleanliness and ensuring the kitchen is visually appealing and orderly.
  • Responsible for set-up, serve, breakdown and replenish the serving lines, the beverage refrigerators, and the juice dispensers. Sweep, mop and clean the serving lines, warmers, refrigerators, beverage dispensers and the coffee machine after each meal. Assist with salad and bar. Serving main line meats, vegetables, and starches, during the daily serving hours. Washes and sorts dishes. Cleans and sanitizes kitchen equipment, pots and pans, counters, and tables. Sweeps and mops floors.
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.
  • No clearance required to start
  • Minimum of Two years' relevant experience in corporate or banquet style kitchen environment.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to drive a small cargo van or large SUV.
    • Position may be filled at higher level / rate requiring four years' relevant experience.
  • ServSafe or Food Handlers Certification within 30 days of hire date
  • Assist in the preparation and serving of hot and cold food; heat, pan and arrange food items; serve as part of a team to assemble various food items and ingredients as assigned; package and wrap food items according to established procedures and portion control standards; assure proper temperature of foods.
  • Prepare salads, sandwiches, fruits, vegetables, packaged foods, bakery items and other foods for distribution; measure, mix, chop, cut, slice, stir and/or blend a variety of ingredients used in food preparation activities as requested; open cans; label and date open food products.
  • Serve meals on serving lines; set out prepared foods; replenish containers as necessary; assist with setting up the cafeteria; assist with catering activities.
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, tables, serving counters, tables, chairs and food containers; prepare food and beverages for sale; count and set-up plates, trays and utensils.
  • Perform routine cashiering duties as assigned; receive and count money; reconcile cash and receipts; make correct change.
  • Operate standard food service equipment such as slicers, warmers, ovens, sealer and packing machines.
  • Follow established health, safety, and sanitation principles applicable to food serving and kitchen maintenance.
  • Stock condiments, food items and paper goods; assist in the storage and rotation of food, leftovers, supplies in storage areas.
  • Prepare and maintain logs and records; inventory food and supplies; track food for daily production logs.
  • Maintain food service facilities, equipment and utensils in a clean and sanitary condition; sweep and mop floors to assure a safe and sanitary work environment; wash trays, pots, pans, plates, utensils and other serving equipment.
  • Operate a computer, calculator and assigned software; answer telephone calls; send and receive emails. • Train and provide work direction to student workers.
  • Attend meetings, in-service training and workshops as assigned.

Primary Level Salary Range: $34,300.00 - $57,100.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
