Job description

Seats Incorporated, an established WI manufacturing firm founded in 1952, has expanded its operations to a new facility in Chariton, IA with a focus on metals stamping, forming, and laser cutting.
Currently Seats Incorporated in Chariton, IA is seeking Punch Press Operators to work on our 1st shift.
Our 1st shift runs from 4:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. (Monday - Thursday) and offers an excellent starting wage, and full benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, Life, 401k, and Paid Time Off.

Punch Press Operators will operate various metal stamp presses to bend and punch steel parts used in the manufacturing of our custom seating products.
*Manufacturing Experience Strongly Preferred*
Essential Duties for this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Operate press to bend and punch steel using custom dies
  • Set dies in presses according to specific setup instructions
  • Quality check parts using checking devices and fixtures
  • Read blueprints
  • Read measuring devices such as; tape measure, protractor, caliper, and scale
  • Read and follow work instructions
  • Must be willing to rotate to different work stations as production needs require.
  • Proven attendance record with previous employers.
  • Computer literate.
  • Constantly lift and/or move to up 50 lbs.

Preferred Skills:
  • Previous machine operator experience
  • Mechanically-inclined
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to read gauges and other measurement tools to ensure tolerances
  • Working knowledge of metal materials
  • Material movement
