We are actively seeking a Captain to perform towing manoeuvres on tugs, manage a crew and ensure vessel maintenance management. He will be required to work in the Port of Kingston, Jamaica.

YOUR TALENTS WILL BE USED TO MEET THE FOLLOWING CHALLENGES:

  • Operate vessels in accordance with the company's practices and those recognized in the industry.
  • Manage a crew and promote the company’s health and safety program.
  • Oversee the implementation of the company’s maintenance program.
  • Ensure sound management of the equipment under his responsibility.
  • Participate and support the activities of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System.

OUR IDEAL COLLEAGUE HAS:

  • Master 500 Gross Tonnage, Domestic certificate (minimum requirement)
  • Valid medical certificate
  • Marine Advanced First Aid training certificate
  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience as Tug Captain
  • Experience on a Z-Drive vessel
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Work experience in the Port of Kingston (an asset)
