This role supports a wide range of commercial flooring projects, from large-scale ground-up construction to smaller tenant fit-outs, across industries like healthcare, education, retail, multi-family, office, manufacturing, and transportation. Flooring Estimator Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and detailed quantity takeoffs using industry standard flooring estimating software
- Develop and review shop drawings and layouts, including any necessary revisions
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and bid documents to ensure complete scope coverage
- Manage incoming bid invitations and follow established procedures from receipt through submission
- Deliver estimates and supporting documentation within required bid deadlines
- Collaborate closely with the sales team and project managers to clarify scope and project requirements
- Review third party takeoffs for accuracy and completeness
- Maintain strong working knowledge of flooring materials, systems, and installation methods
- Participate in weekly estimating meetings and contribute to process improvement
