Job description

Job Overview

Guthrie is seeking a BC/BE Neurologist to join our neurology team in Corning, NY. This is a high‑demand general neurology opportunity for a physician who wants to step into immediate patient need, build a meaningful practice, and work collaboratively with physician and APP colleagues. The emphasis of this search is broad‑based general neurology for Sayre rather than a narrow stroke‑only role.

Highlights of the Position
  • Practice primarily in the outpatient setting while sharing inpatient consult support when hospitalist coverage is not in place.
  • Shared outpatient call with neurology physician colleagues, likely one week at a time.
  • Opportunity to provide broad general neurology care while incorporating aligned clinical interests such as stroke, epilepsy, migraine/headache, EMG, EEG, Botox, or sleep overlap based on practice needs and your experience.
  • Collaborative care model with physician and APP support.
  • Primary practice location is Corning, NY.
Candidate Requirements
  • Unwavering commitment to our mission of improving health through clinical excellence and compassion; every patient, every time.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology.
  • Eligible for or holding a New York medical license.
  • Strong interest and capability in bread‑and‑butter general neurology.
  • Interest or experience in EMG, EEG, Botox, epilepsy, stroke, migraine/headache, or sleep overlap is welcome but not required.
  • Team‑oriented approach and ability to work effectively with physician, APP, and operational partners.
Compensation & Benefits

Competitive compensation model with a robust benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, generous retirement plan with employer contributions, CME time and allowance, relocation assistance and starting bonus, malpractice insurance with tail coverage, and supportive onboarding and transition services.

Work‑Life Balance
  • Primarily outpatient practice based in one location.
  • Shared physician call structure.
  • Flexible in‑person scheduling may be considered for the right candidate.
Career Development
  • Opportunity to help shape the future design of general neurology.
  • Ability to build a meaningful practice quickly in a high‑demand market.
  • Support from physician leadership and a committed recruitment partnership.
  • Potential to develop focused clinical interests that align with practice need.
Transition & Recruitment Support
  • Dedicated recruitment, onboarding, and operational support throughout the hiring process.
  • Collaborative physician leadership engagement during interviews and transition.
  • Thoughtful ramp‑up into an established practice with immediate demand and regional referral support.
