Job description

Are you passionate about making a difference in people's lives? Join our team at the Y and become a crucial part of our Food and Fun Team, working to provide healthy and nutritious meals to children in our community!

We are in need of a Summer 2026 Meal Delivery Driver who can work shifts Monday through Friday from 6:30am-12pm.

This is a part time/seasonal position starting May 29, 2026 - August 10, 2026.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Organize meals and materials based on site-specific preferences
  • Ensure timely drop-off and pick-up at sponsor site locations
  • Assist with food preparation as directed by kitchen manager
  • Maintain cleanliness inside the delivery vehicle and production facility
  • Operate delivery equipment and vehicle safely
  • Clean delivery equipment daily
  • Collect, check, and verify records

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older and insurable
  • Valid Tennessee or Georgia driver's license and reliable transportation required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with diverse populations
  • Familiarity with Google Docs and email preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Agility and mobility to perform job functions, including standing, bending, lifting up to 50+ lbs. multiple times daily, hearing, and seeing

TRAINING:

  • CPR, First Aid & AED certification required within the first 30 days of employment
  • New Employee Orientation required within the first week of employment
  • Additional program-specific training required within the first week of hire
