Campus Ambassador - Ontario Universities
Pay: Hourly + commission for every student you sign up · Shifts are a minimum of 3 hours, roughly twice a week, scheduled around your classes · Starting September
Thryve is a study platform that helps students stay organized and turn their notes and course materials into study resources that actually work. We're hiring outgoing students to introduce it to their own campus.
You and a partner will walk high-traffic areas like libraries, student centres, cafeterias, and outdoor spaces, where you'll strike up short conversations with other students, getting them signed up on the spot. Ambassadors may occasionally help run our campus booth for a day, but the core of the role is being out on campus talking to people.
Where we're hiring
Universities across Ontario, including but not limited to Western, Queen's, Waterloo, Laurier, York, Guelph, Guelph-Humber, and McMaster.
What you'll do
Approach students in a friendly, respectful way and explain what Thryve does
Get interested students to scan your QR code and create an account on the spot
Confirm the account was actually created before you move on - that's what your commission is paid on
Hand out promotional materials and giveaways
Answer basic questions about the platform
Pass along common questions and feedback so we can improve the product
What we're looking for
Currently enrolled at an Ontario university
Available from September through December to work throughout the Fall 2026 semester
Comfortable starting conversations with people you don't know
Reliable, you show up for your shifts
Promotions, sales, club, or student org experience is a plus, not a requirement
Benefits of the role
Paid hourly plus commission on every single signup, so a good shift pays well above the base rate. Flexible around your class schedule, you always work with a partner, and you get real customer-facing marketing experience with a startup.
