What is an MDVIP physician?

An MDVIP Physician is a primary care doctor who provides personalized healthcare services through the MDVIP model, which focuses on preventive care, wellness, and a closer doctor-patient relationship. These physicians typically manage a smaller patient panel, allowing for longer appointments, same-day or next-day visits, and a more comprehensive approach to patient health. By emphasizing personalized care, MDVIP physicians aim to improve patient outcomes and overall well-being.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an MDVIP physician?

To thrive as an MDVIP Physician, you need a strong background in primary care, board certification in internal or family medicine, and an active medical license. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs), preventive care protocols, and the MDVIP practice management platform is essential. Outstanding interpersonal skills, patient-centered communication, and a commitment to proactive wellness set top performers apart. These abilities are crucial for delivering highly personalized care and maintaining strong patient-physician relationships in the MDVIP model.

How does the patient panel size and work-life balance differ for an MDVIP physician compared to traditional primary care roles?

MDVIP Physicians typically manage a significantly smaller patient panel, averaging around 600 patients versus the 2,000 or more often seen in traditional primary care practices. This allows for longer, more personalized visits with each patient and the ability to focus on preventive health and wellness. The reduced panel size often leads to improved work-life balance, as physicians have more control over their schedules and administrative burdens are lighter. This unique structure enables more meaningful physician-patient relationships and greater job satisfaction, making it an attractive option for many practitioners.

Job description

Role Summary
MDVIP is seeking an experienced and strategic Manager, Lead Generating Events to join our Event Marketing team in Boca Raton, FL. Reporting to the Director of Event Marketing, this role owns MDVIP's portfolio of 10-20 lead-generating events per month. You will partner closely with the Sales team to identify target markets, then determine the right experience for each one - from an intimate dinner in a private dining room to premium access to a concert, food and wine festival, or other high-interest local experience. You will manage these events end to end, including venue selection and booking, budget management, attendance and KPI tracking, and reporting results to sales and executive leadership. This role also plays a part in identifying and managing MDVIP's presence at larger patient-facing events and tradeshows and supports the MDVIP National Meeting alongside the broader events team. This is a planning and management role, not a travel-heavy one - our field sales team represents MDVIP on-site at these events, so you will not be expected to attend the majority of the events you plan.
If you're a strategic, detail-driven event professional who thrives managing a high-volume portfolio and knows how to create experiences people remember, we'd love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Sales team to identify target markets and determine the right type of experience - from private dinners to premium or ticketed experiences such as concerts or food and wine festivals - for MDVIP's portfolio of 10-15 lead-generating events per month.
  • Source, negotiate, and book venues, vendors, and experiences within budget.
  • Track and manage event budgets across a high-volume, multi-market portfolio.
  • Track attendance, KPIs, and event performance data, and report results to sales and executive leadership.
  • Maintain accurate event and attendee data in Salesforce.
  • Identify strategic opportunities for MDVIP's presence at larger patient-facing events and tradeshows, and manage those efforts with support from event staff.
  • Support the MDVIP National Meeting, held every two-to-three years, as part of the broader events team.
  • Understand the markets and demographics of MDVIP's physician and patient audiences to select experiences that create genuine appeal and drive attendance.
  • Manage multiple concurrent events and competing deadlines with strong organizational rigor.
  • Build and maintain relationships with venues, vendors, and event partners across multiple markets.
  • Partner with sales leadership to align event strategy with lead-generation and pipeline goals.

Key Competencies
  • Strong project and portfolio management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple events and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Sound judgment in matching event type and experience to the local market and audience.
  • Budget management and financial accountability.
  • Data-driven mindset, with the ability to track KPIs and translate results into actionable reporting.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and Cvent, or comparable CRM and event registration platforms.
  • Strong vendor negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Clear, confident communication with sales teams and executive leadership.
  • Self-directed and comfortable operating independently across a large portfolio.
  • Creativity and resourcefulness in curating distinctive, on-brand event experiences.

Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5-7 years of event management experience, including independently managing a portfolio of events.
  • Demonstrated experience managing event budgets, vendors, and timelines.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present results to sales teams and executive leadership.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and Cvent, or similar CRM and event registration platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience planning events for medical groups, healthcare organizations, or physician audiences.
  • Familiarity with tradeshow planning and management.
  • Understanding of the patient and physician experience, and what drives audience engagement and attendance.

Computer Proficiency:
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced skills in Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint required. Proficiency with Salesforce and Cvent required.
Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and using hands/fingers for working on a computer.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to adjust focus from near to far.
  • Must talk and/or hear for significant periods of each day.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds periodically.
  • Based in the MDVIP Boca Raton, FL office on a hybrid schedule.
  • Occasional travel required, approximately 10% of the time (2-3 trips per year), to attend the MDVIP National Meeting (held every three years), tradeshows, or other events as needed. This role is not expected to travel on-site for the majority of the lead-generating events it manages.

Why Join MDVIP?
