The MDS Assistant participates in the Resident Assessment Process through completion of the pertinent items on the Minimum Data Set (MDS) and the accompanying Care Area Assessments (CAAs). Participates in developing individualized resident Care Plans, identifying the needs of the residents and projected outcomes as required by Federal and State regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • A professionally trained Registered Nurse that has earned a certificate/diploma or degree in nursing.
  • Must hold a current nursing license in the state of employment.
  • Working knowledge of the MDS 3.0 (current version of minimum data set).
