Job Position: Dentist
Location: Newberry, MI 49868
Pay Rate: $114.19/hr
Shift: Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 4:30pm
Description:
Seeking an experienced Dentist (DDS/DMD) to provide comprehensive dental care in a state correctional facility. Role includes direct patient care, diagnosis and treatment of oral conditions, dental procedures, and oversight of support staff. You must be comfortable working independently in a secure environment.
Key Duties:
- Perform dental exams, diagnosis, and treatment
- Restore teeth; construct/fit dentures and appliances
- Perform extractions, impacted tooth removal, and alveoplasty
- Take/interpret dental X-rays
- Prescribe medications for pain and infection
- Educate patients on oral hygiene
- Maintain accurate dental records and documentation
Education
- Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctorate of Medical Dentistry (DMD)
- Active Michigan Dentist License in good standing (required)
- No specific experience requirement listed; however, candidates must be able to work independently at an experienced professional level.
