What are MDGs?

MDGs, or Millennium Development Goals, were eight international development goals set by the United Nations in 2000, aimed at addressing global issues such as poverty, hunger, education, gender equality, child mortality, maternal health, disease, environmental sustainability, and global partnership. The MDGs provided a framework for countries and development partners to work together to improve the lives of people around the world by 2015. While significant progress was made, not all targets were fully met, leading to the creation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 2015 to build on the MDGs' achievements and continue global development efforts.

MDG practitioners often work closely with nurses, specialists, and allied health professionals, which requires strong communication and collaboration skills. A common challenge is balancing a broad range of patient needs while coordinating care plans across different specialties. Additionally, MDGs must stay updated on evolving medical guidelines and manage a high patient load, which can be demanding. However, this environment offers valuable opportunities for learning and professional growth, as MDGs gain exposure to various medical fields and patient demographics.

To thrive as a Medical Doctor (MD), you need an accredited medical degree, completion of a residency program, and a valid medical license, along with strong clinical knowledge and diagnostic skills.
