Position Summary:Vali Incorporated seeks a highly qualified candidate to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) as a Subject Matter Expert in performing Cost Estimating Analysis supporting the development, fielding, and integration of the MDA Missile Defense System. Cost Estimating support includes development and maintenance of Life Cycle Cost Estimates and models for Defense Acquisition programs, cost analysis, schedule analysis, quality reviews of program cost estimates and conducting cost estimate excursions.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Recognized expert in cost estimating, operations research, mathematics, economics, engineering, science, or business fields.Possess extensive expertise to accomplish cost analysis, apply costing methods, research cost analysis models, perform schedule analysis, and conduct quality reviews and estimates of Possess extensive expertise to accomplish cost analysis, apply costing methods, research cost analysis models, perform schedule analysis, and conduct quality reviews and estimates of existing or future complex weapon systems.Able to perform professional and scientific work that involves designing, developing, and adapting mathematical, statistical, econometric, and other scientific methods and techniques.Able to analyze management problems and provide advice and insight about the probable effects of alternative solutions to these problems.Capable of leading, planning, formulating and applying mathematical modeling and other optimizing methods to develop and interpret information that assists management with decision making, policy formulation, or other managerial functions.Work independently, conduct strategic high-level coordination activities, and lead teams in solving problems. Has specialized related knowledge and extensive knowledge, skills, and abilities in the analysis field.Capable of providing daily supervision and direction to support teams.Education and Experience Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Operations Research, Economics, Statistics, Business Analytics. Master's degree in one of the degree programs listed above is preferred.Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience with Bachelor's degree in related field.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Exceptionally strong analytical skills.Must possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.Desired Experience Requirements:Knowledge of planning, formulating and applying DoD Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution System (PPBES) methods to develop and interpret information that assists management with decision making, policy formulation, or other managerial functions.Must work independently and conduct strategic high-level coordination activities.Must be a self-starter able to support multiple complex projects simultaneously.Strong knowledge of MS Office.
