MD Radiologists are medical doctors who specialize in diagnosing and sometimes treating diseases and injuries using medical imaging techniques such as X-rays, CT scans, MRI, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. After completing medical school, they undergo several years of residency training in radiology. Radiologists interpret imaging results and often work closely with other physicians to determine the best treatment plans for patients. Some radiologists also perform image-guided procedures, such as biopsies or minimally invasive treatments.

What does an MD radiologist do?

Radiologists also participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss complex cases, oversee imaging protocols, and sometimes perform image-guided procedures. The workflow can be fast-paced, requiring strong attention to detail and effective communication with both medical staff and patients. Balancing urgent cases with routine studies is a common challenge, but it also offers opportunities to continuously learn and contribute to patient care.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an MD radiologist?
