Position Title Civil Project Engineer - Water Wastewater - MD #2824

Relocation Yes

Location Baltimore MD

Consulting Engineering firm looking for a Project Engineer.

TECHNICAL

* Responsible for the successful completion of projects on time and within budget, which meets the Client's expectations.

* Have a thorough understanding and knowledge of Client's design procedures, polices, specifications, etc., and ensure that they are translated to the Contract Documents, specifically Information Research, Field Investigations, Site Layout, Grading, Road Design, Utilities, Geometry, Stormwater Management (SWM), Erosion & Sediment Control (E&S), Cost Estimation, and Construction Specifications.

* Attend meetings (when required) and coordinate design with Project Manager while maintaining good Client relations. Good Client relations mean the difference between a successful project and an unsuccessful project and affects repeat business opportunities.

* Training of staff including delegation of responsibility within the project. Monitor staff's work on a daily basis to insure progress and maintenance of acceptable design practices.

* Monitoring work of Sub-Consultants to insure completion of work on time and within budget, including technical review of their work. Also, coordinates work between other disciplines within the firm that are working on the design assignment.

* Prepare written documentation of all Client communications (telephone, meetings, etc.) in a timely manner and send to Client for confirmation.

* Coordinate short and long term staff needs with the Project Manager at regular staff meetings.

* Review Plans, Specifications, and Estimates at various milestones to insure completeness and accuracy of work.

EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years in Civil Engineering, Site Design, Hydraulic Engineering, or Utility Design. E.I.T. required. Candidates with the ability to become licensed in a 3-5 year time horizon are preferred.

SKILLS: Knowledge of site engineering, hydrology/hydraulics, and familiarity with MD SWM requirements. Experience using TR-20, TR-55, Flowmaster, ESRI ArcGIS

MS-Word, MS-Excel, and AutoCADD (2012 version) Civil 3D.

EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Equivalent.

Bottom line requirements we need notes on with candidate submittal:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.

2. 3 + years in Civil Engineering, Site Design, Hydraulic Engineering, or Utility Design.  

3. E.I.T. or P.E. required.  

4. Knowledge of site engineering, hydrology/hydraulics, and familiarity with Maryland SWM requirements. 

5. Experience using TR-20, TR-55, Flowmaster, ESRI ArcGIS MS-Word, MS-Excel, and AutoCADD (2012 version) Civil 3D.
