Job description

Serves in the lead capacity for the Diagnostic Radiology Department.

Responsible for daily operations in the Radiology department assigning work responsibilities and insuring staffing is appropriate.

Provides guidance and technical assistance, monitors adherence to guidelines and regulations for record keeping and quality control, and interacts effectively with imaging and medical/clinical staff, patients and other customers.

Provides constructive direction and support to Imaging staff and leadership.

Exemplifies organizational customer service standards and supports the organizational excellence initiatives.

Performs all duties outlined in the Radiologic Technologist job description.

Serves in a formal preceptor role to onboard new employees.

Demonstrates flexibility and assists with scheduling and staffing including weekend, holidays and call coverage (where applicable). 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

A minimum of 2 years of radiologic technologist experience is required.

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

A minimum of 3 years of radiologic technologist experience is preferred.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Graduate of an ARRT approved program in radiologic technology is required.

EDUCATION PREFERRED: None.

TRAINING REQUIRED: None.

TRAINING PREFERRED: None.

SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

Strong leadership skills, verbal and written communication skills, ability to prioritize and organize workflow and strong problem-solving skills with self-motivation.

LICENSURE REQUIRED:

ARRT (R) registered and current State of WI license as a Radiographer is required.

American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
