PART TIME - WEEKENDS ONLY - SATURDAY amp; SUNDAY 2PM-10PM
Job Description and Summary
Serves as gatehouse and patrol security office for Moss Creek. Ensures all programs and services are conducted and fulfilled in a manner consistent with the goals and objectives of Moss Creek Owners Association. Responsible for the protection, safeguarding and security of assets, personnel, customers and all visitors.
Duties and Responsibilities - include the following but other duties may be assigned.
  • Ensures procedural rules and regulations, ensuring the personal safety of staff, members, visitors and property.
  • Maintains security and safety for assigned areas.
  • Maintains working knowledge of the locations of various departments, buildings, access routes and admitting requirements.
  • Operates and monitors security control panels, alarms and related security equipment to provide area and visitor surveillance.
  • Greets each guest entering property
  • Checks decals of persons entering property, denying entry to persons who cannot show either proper identification or cause for being admitted. Explains rules and regulations.
  • Answers radio calls and respond to routine incidents; secures and protects the scene of civil, criminal or unusual incidents.
  • Calls police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
  • Answers telephone calls, obtaining and entering pass information, answering questions, providing information during business and non-business hours.
  • Submits incident reports. Logs daily activities and irregularities such as equipment of property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
  • Assists in the evacuation of building or areas during emergency situations.
  • Performs special assignment such as Member gatherings, parties; maintaining crowd control, provides direction, directs traffic, etc.
  • Acts as information resource to Members, guests and visitors.
  • Issues decals to Members, LTR’s Staff amp; Contractors.
  • Collects and accounts for contractor revenue.

Physical Requirements:
  • Capable of working extended hours, to include weekends and holidays as necessary.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to speak English in a clear and understandable voice so that various types of communications may be conducted with people of various levels of education and capabilities.
  • Position involves sitting, standing, stopping, kneeling, bending, pushing, shoving, lifting, carrying and moving objects regularly up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds and occasionally more than 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to interact with all types of individuals, be mentally alert, detail oriented, and with good reasoning skills.
  • Must be able to transport oneself throughout the property. Must have a valid state driver's license.
Environmental Requirements:
  • Must be able to work on more than one assignment at a time with frequent interruptions, changes and delays.
  • Must be able to remain focused and work effectively, efficiently and cheerfully under such circumstances.
  • For safety reasons, must remain alert to working conditions and aware of safety. Health and environmental concerns.
  • Must be able to work effectively in an environment which may be stressful due to adversarial situations resulting from the proper performance of duties.
  • The position will alternate between working indoors in a controlled climate and with proper lighting to an outdoors setting with variable climate and lighting.
Education and/or Experience
  • High school graduate or equivalent required
  • Must be able to obtain SLED license.
  • Must be able to follow detailed procedures, exercise good judgement and initiative, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work independent of supervision.
  • Able to work a shift pattern, working evenings and weekends and be flexible with working hours to provide shift covers.
  • Proven discretion, confidentiality, and reliability
  • First Aid/CPR/AED Certification preferred (training provided)
