Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate Caregiver to assist an elderly lady with the transition back home. Care to begin immediately, with shifts Monday through Friday, 9am to 3pm. She will need assistance with transfers, dressing, and bathing. She lives at home with her husband and a small dog. She will also need some assistance with light housekeeping, laundry, and some household tasks along with companionship. We are looking for a great Caregiver to build a caring relationship!

Job Responsibilities

Must be able to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations:

  • Follows the instructions of the RN Supervisor in providing personal assistance services.
  • Provide assistance with hygiene such as bathing, oral care, and dressing.
  • Assist with food preparation; serve food, performs errands, light housekeeping, laundry, wash dishes.
  • Observe and report any safety hazards found in the client’s home or any significant observations regarding the client.
  • Attend staff meetings, attend/complete 12 hours of annual in-services, and participates in orientation of new employees.
  • Report client complaints to the RN Supervisor.
  • Report abnormal findings in client’s conditions as observed and per care plan to RN.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: Two years of experience as a Caregiver. Must have MCNA license, CNA certificate, PCA, or HHA.
  • Requirements:
    • Authorized to work in the United States
    • Pass a background check and drug screen
    • Current Driver's License
    • Current TB test
    • Reliable transportation, able to travel throughout Prince William County and surrounding areas
    • Immunizations to include COVID-19 and flu strongly encouraged
