Job description

Responsibilities:

  1. Fosters an environment that demonstrates care, compassion, and respect for all patients, families, visitors, and co-workers.

  2. Demonstrates proficiency in use of all medical equipment in the office. 

  3. Adheres to procedural checklists for administering all immunizations/injections. 

  4. Ensure that all examination rooms are clean and fully stocked with supplies, including replacing any expired supplies. 

  5. Calls patients from the waiting area using appropriate title and last name to a clean, well-stocked examination room. 

  6. Obtains and accurately documents vital signs and confirms chief complaint. 

  7. Triages and performs in-house diagnostic testing according to orders. 

  8. Manages patient workflow in the clinical area. 

  9. Provides support and assistance as needed to patients, nurses, physicians, and other staff. 

  10. Participates proactively in problem solving and process improvement activities through collaboration with clinical teams using Evidence Based Practices. 

  11. Performs other duties as assigned.  


Qualifications:

  • Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
