Job description

Job Description
Responsibilities Include:
  • Provide comprehensive care for spine patients, including evaluation of axial and radicular spine conditions, conservative management, and postoperative care
  • Work closely with supervising physician Eric D. Nabors, MD - Orthopedics/Orthopedic Spine Surgery, supporting a high-volume spine practice
  • Collaborate within a robust orthopedic group composed of 22 providers (physicians and APPs) supported by strong ancillary staff
  • Maintain a consistent schedule:
    • Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Manage a patient mix of 90% outpatient spine care and 10% OR support
  • Provide care to approximately 15-25 spine patients daily
  • Participate in a structured onboarding process including shadowing, EPIC training, imaging review, and spine-care pathways
  • Contribute to the APP pooled call model as needed

Qualifications:
  • Preferred: 5 years of experience as a Physician Assistant, ideally with orthopedic or neurosurgical spine background
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining compassionate, patient-centered care
  • Strong proficiency in interpreting spine imaging, managing postoperative pathways, and performing urgent spine assessments
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills
  • Commitment to optimizing clinic efficiency and improving patient access
