We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team at the McCann Behavioral and Psychological Center. • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, integrating information about patients' mental and medical histories to provide a holistic view of their health.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that address both psychiatric and medical needs utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions tailored to each patient’s circumstances, employing effective therapeutic modalities.
• Coordinate with medical providers to ensure seamless, integrated care for optimal treatment outcomes.
• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support for individuals in mental health emergencies, demonstrating skillful management of acute distress.
• Teach patients how mental health impacts physical health and equip them with tools to manage their conditions effectively.
• Maintain accurate and confidential electronic health records, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate actively in team meetings and interdisciplinary case conferences, contributing insights to care planning discussions.
• Engage in continuous professional development by staying informed of research, trends, and advancements in integrated mental health care.

You will primarily work with patients facing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related conditions, and those with co-occurring medical conditions such as autoimmune disorders, chronic pain, and substance use disorders. Your role is crucial in providing compassionate care to individuals who may be navigating complex health challenges, ensuring their needs are met holistically.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
• Strong understanding of co-occurring disorders and experience in addressing the mental health needs of individuals with concurrent medical issues.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries while adhering to ethical guidelines and ensuring patient confidentiality.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and telehealth technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.

We prefer candidates with a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, particularly in outpatient environments. Experience with group therapy facilitation and crisis intervention will be highly valued, as will familiarity with integrated care models.

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 120,000 – 140,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Additional benefits include:
