Job description

The Director is responsible for leading all aspects of the corporation's treasury, financial planning and analysis, risk management, and rate management functions. This includes: oversight of treasury operations; strategic development and execution of the corporation's financing plan; ownership of relationships with credit rating agencies, investors, banks, external advisors and others; responsibility for the development of the annual corporate budget and monthly variance analysis and reporting; manages long-range financial planning through the production of a 10-year financial forecast; serves as the corporation's lead in financial risk mitigation through the use of insurance and hedging instruments; oversees financial aspects of the corporation's rate structure, including communications with members regarding current and prospective billings and patronage capital allocations.
Education: BA/BS required; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred
Experience: Twelve or more years in an area of responsibility in electric utility, cooperative, or related Finance, Treasury, or Rates, including experience leading teams.
Equivalent Experience: Ten or more years of experience in an area of responsibility in Finance or a related field, with an advanced degree, license, or certification (e.g., MBA, CPA, CFA, or CTP).
Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations: Masters in Business Administration (MBA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) preferred.
Specialized Skills (e.g., typing, computers, software, tools and equipment uses, etc.): Leadership, presentation and interpersonal skills; experienced in rates and rate-making policies (including FERC and other regulatory authorities); understanding of financial modeling and budgeting; proficient PC skills with treasury workstation experience a plus; works independently / self-driven; able to teach others and assist them in their development; excellent PC/Excel/PowerPoint skills; financial, analytical and accounting skills; strategic thinker and customer focused.
