Job description

We are engaged in a search with a Northern VA based, award winning, digital media and design firm for a Finance and Business Manager.
This key position will report to the company President and oversee accounting, finance, operations and HR. Self starters with a go getter mentality required!
POSITION SUMMARY
The Business Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for the financial, operational, and
administrative health of the organization. This role serves as a strategic partner to the
President while also maintaining hands-on responsibility for accounting, project contracting
and budgeting, human resources, and internal systems. Many functions that are
typically distributed across multiple departments in larger organizations are intentionally
centralized in this role. As such, the ideal candidate is a highly capable, self-directed
professional with a proven ability to prioritize effectively, manage competing demands, and wear many hats simultaneously in a fast-paced, project-driven creative environment.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (CPA

• 8-12+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, operations, or business
management.
• Advanced working knowledge of QuickBooks and strong aptitude for accounting
systems and financial reporting.
• Experience with project-based accounting, client invoicing, and revenue tracking
strongly preferred.
• Proven experience in HR administration, benefits, and compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple functional areas simultaneously, set priorities
independently, and shift between strategic planning and detailed execution.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a role that requires both
ownership and adaptability.
• AI tool implementation and experience a plus
