Job Summary/Basic Function
Job Summary:
An Adjunct instructor is a term-to term appointment with responsibility to students, course material, and classroom and/or online instruction. Teaching duties include all levels of the Business curriculum for undergraduate and graduate courses.
Roles Summary:
To undertake teaching activities in the curriculum area, ensuring a high quality of provision, in response to learners' needs. To work collaboratively and innovatively with colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
• To undertake teaching and learning related activities, as agreed.
• To ensure that appropriate learning materials are prepared, and assessments and assignments are undertaken in a timely manner.
• To undertake administration and provide reports and statistics regarding student and teaching matters.
• To contribute to the development of curricula and learning activities, taking into consideration Functional Skills development and equality and diversity.
Minimum Qualifications
• An MBA or master's degree with a minimum of 18 hours of graduate studies in a Business discipline. The degree must be from a regionally accredited institution. Strong written and oral communications skills required.
• Expertise in any of the various business management/business administration.
• Candidate must be an enthusiastic educator.

Preferred Qualifications
• Master's Degree is required, although a terminal degree is preferred from a regionally accredited university within a Business discipline (MBA and/or DBA or Ph.D in Business)
• 18 hours of graduate work within discipline is required.
• Professional certifications within related discipline are strongly preferred.
• Minimum two years of teaching experience in areas such as economics, finance, or other related areas.
• Minimum one year of online teaching experience.
• Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in discipline area.
• Demonstrate proficiency in popular software tools and learning management systems.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
