Job description

Pharmacy Director

Directs the overall operations of the Pharmacy department in order to provide defined patient care services which meet IHS's standards of quality, efficiency and desired outcomes.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.S. or Pharm D. degree from an ACPE accredited school of Pharmacy
  • Considerable knowledge of field
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Considerable knowledge of management principles
  • Well-developed communications skills, both oral and written
  • Proven leadership skills

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy OR license eligible (Permanent license will be required within six months of entry into the job)

Desired Qualifications:

  • MBA or equivalent in business or MS in Hospital Pharmacy
  • Working knowledge of management in a similar clinical setting
  • Consulting licensure
