They provide end-to-end offerings that include aircraft and component MRO services, aircraft and engine sales and leasing, parts and materials support, and innovative technology solutions to improve performance and reduce operating costs.

Job Summary

The Vice President of Sales directs procurement strategy and execution for military aviation programs, ensuring adherence to defense acquisition requirements and alignment with corporate goals. This executive role focuses on identifying, capturing, and managing high-value government contracts centered on aviation systems, technologies, and services. The position provides leadership, strategic guidance, and oversight across all procurement functions to drive operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and successful outcomes in support of U.S. and allied defense clients.

Responsibilities
  • Design and execute procurement strategies specific to defense and military aviation markets.
  • Ensure procurement initiatives align with company objectives and long-term growth in government contracting.
  • Lead proposal development, contract negotiations, and execution of competitive bids for defense and government clients (DoD, State Department, Homeland Security, NATO, foreign military sales, etc.).
  • Manage contract administration in accordance with FAR, DFARS, and related regulations.
  • Track performance metrics to guarantee cost, schedule, and quality goals are achieved.
  • Address contractual disputes, oversee risk management, and apply corrective measures.
  • Uphold compliance with procurement laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Serve as internal subject-matter expert on defense acquisition rules, including ITAR, CMMC, and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Act as primary liaison with military agencies, prime contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with government buyers, defense clients, and industry partners to support business growth.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in defense procurement, government contracting, or aerospace/aviation.
  • Proven success in securing and managing large-scale military contracts.
  • In-depth knowledge of FAR, DFARS, ITAR, and defense procurement lifecycle.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Established relationships with DoD contracting officers or military acquisition offices.
  • Eligibility for U.S. Government security clearance preferred.
Skills and Abilities
