Job description

Yorkville University is looking for the visionaries, the change-makers, and the entrepreneurially minded, who are seeking more from their career. Change begins with the small decisions we make, each day, to support each other and strive to create inspiring, innovative career-focused educational experiences for students, no matter where they live or how they learn. This concept connects deeply to the idea that, in choosing a career with Yorkville University, you will have the opportunity to push boundaries, flex your creativity and inspire positive change for so many people. It’s also a call-back to the transformative power of education itself. Seek a career that will challenge you to make a meaningful difference through work with a passionate, empowered team in a business environment where your voice matters and your ideas are important.
If you care deeply about the student journey, want to support the development and growth of innovative, career relevant programs, be empowered to make an impact on the transformation of the Canadian post-secondary education landscape, and work collaboratively beyond levels, join us.

Program Overview

Yorkville University has launched our new Master of Business Administration (MBA) program, a flexible, career-focused graduate degree designed to empower professionals with the strategic, analytical, and leadership skills needed to thrive in today’s competitive global marketplace. Offered online and in-person at our new campus in Ontario, the program supports working adults with year-round enrollment, multiple annual intakes, and the option to graduate in as few as two years.

The curriculum emphasizes critical thinking, ethical decision-making, and global business strategy, taught by faculty with extensive academic and professional experience. Graduates emerge equipped to lead teams, drive innovation, and advance into senior roles across sectors, including finance, marketing, operations, and entrepreneurship.

Who we need

Reporting to the Dean, Business ON, we are hiring a MBA Faculty, Business to help shape the next generation of business leaders. As our new Faculty member, you will deliver engaging, learner-centred education that connects academic theory with real-world business practice across online, blended, and in-person learning environments. You will foster critical thinking, support student success through meaningful feedback and mentorship, contribute to curriculum development, and participate in scholarship and academic service that strengthens the quality and impact of our MBA program.

This is a full-time, permanent hybrid role based at our 120 Bloor Street East campus, with an expectation of three days per week on campus. The anticipated start date is September 1, 2026

What's in it for you

Shape the future of business leaders. You want to do more than deliver lectures. You want to inspire critical thinking, encourage meaningful discussion, and help students connect theory to practice in ways that prepare them for the realities of today's business world. Your expertise and mentorship will directly influence the careers and confidence of diverse learners pursuing their MBA.

Academic excellence and continuous growth. You will join a collaborative academic community that values innovation in teaching, scholarship, and lifelong learning. You will have opportunities to contribute to curriculum enhancement, collaborate with colleagues across the Faculty of Business, and continuously refine your teaching practice while staying current with emerging trends in business education.

Flexibility with connection. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to balance focused work with meaningful in-person collaboration. You will engage with students and colleagues on campus while leveraging educational technologies to create dynamic learning experiences across online, blended, and face-to-face environments.

A meaningful contribution to accessible education. At Yorkville University, education is designed for learners balancing careers, families, and other commitments. You will play an important role in creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment that removes barriers, celebrates diverse perspectives, and empowers students to achieve their academic and professional goals.

As our new MBA Faculty, Business, you will:

  • Facilitate engaging learning experiences. You will teach graduate-level business courses using learner-centred approaches that encourage critical thinking, discussion, and the practical application of business concepts. Whether teaching online, in blended formats, or in person, you will create an inclusive learning environment where students feel supported, challenged, and empowered to succeed.
  • Champion student success. You will provide timely, meaningful feedback that helps students grow throughout their academic journey. Through regular communication, office hours, and proactive outreach, you will foster engagement, monitor student progress, and connect learners with the resources they need to achieve their goals.
  • Contribute to curriculum excellence. You will collaborate with academic leaders and fellow faculty to strengthen and enhance the MBA curriculum. You will share insights from your teaching and professional practice, helping ensure courses remain current, academically rigorous, aligned with program outcomes, and relevant to today's evolving business landscape.
  • Collaborate across the academic community. You will work closely with colleagues across the Faculty of Business and the broader University to create a consistent, high-quality student experience. You will contribute to program reviews, academic initiatives, and committee work while helping foster a collaborative, learner-centred culture.
  • Advance scholarship and continuous improvement. You will actively engage in scholarly activity, professional development, and reflective teaching practices that strengthen your expertise and enrich the learning experience. By participating in faculty development, contributing to scholarship, and staying connected to industry and academic trends, you will help ensure our programs continue to evolve alongside the changing business environment.

You have:

  • The academic credentials. You hold a terminal degree in a relevant business discipline (such as a DBA, DM, or PhD) and have the expertise required to teach at the graduate level. You bring current knowledge of your field and are committed to maintaining academic and professional excellence through ongoing scholarship and professional development.
  • The teaching experience. You have experience delivering engaging, learner-centred instruction in post-secondary education. You know how to create inclusive learning environments, facilitate meaningful discussions, provide thoughtful feedback, and help students connect theory with real-world business practice across online, blended, and in-person learning environments.
  • The business perspective. You bring relevant professional experience that enriches the classroom and helps students understand how business concepts are applied in practice. You are comfortable drawing on current industry examples and emerging trends to create engaging, career-relevant learning experiences.
  • The collaborative approach. You value working as part of an academic community. You build positive relationships with colleagues, contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives, and are committed to creating a consistent, high-quality experience for students.
  • Communication and technology skills. You are an engaging communicator who can adapt your approach to meet the needs of diverse learners. You are comfortable using educational technologies, including learning management systems such as Brightspace and the Microsoft Office Suite, to deliver an effective and accessible learning experience.

Compensation: $110,000 CAD.
