  • Ability to safely handle and move heavy or awkward loads in an outdoor environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, including lifting, standing, and bending, in all weather conditions.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality; ability to work scheduled shifts, which may include early mornings or occasional Saturdays.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills; ability to take direction and collaborate with yard staff, drivers, and supervisors.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience in recycling, scrap yard, or waste management environments preferred.
  • Knowledge of material types (wood, concrete, metal, mixed recyclables) and safe stacking/segregation practices preferred.
  • Ability to perform minor daily maintenance and inspection tasks on equipment preferred.
  • Familiarity with roll-off dumpster operations, yard logistics, and container movements preferred.
Benefits
  • Opportunities for career growth—Mazza Recycling is committed to promoting from within and supporting employee development.
