Maxio information

What is a Maxio?

Maxio is not a traditional job title, but rather the name of a software company that provides billing and subscription management solutions for SaaS businesses. Their platform helps companies automate invoicing, manage recurring payments, handle revenue recognition, and provide analytics on subscription metrics. Professionals working at Maxio typically have roles in software development, customer success, sales, or product management, all focused on helping clients streamline their financial operations.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Maxio specialist?

To thrive as a Maxio Specialist, you need a solid understanding of subscription billing, SaaS revenue recognition, and financial operations, usually backed by experience in finance or accounting. Familiarity with Maxio software, ERP integrations, and data analysis tools, as well as certifications in accounting or SaaS platforms, is highly valuable. Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills help in managing client needs and translating business requirements into effective billing solutions. These skills ensure accurate financial operations, customer satisfaction, and seamless integration of subscription management processes.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals working at Maxio in client-facing roles?

Professionals in client-facing roles at Maxio often manage multiple accounts and must juggle competing priorities, such as responding to client inquiries, troubleshooting software issues, and coordinating with internal teams for technical solutions. A key challenge is balancing proactive customer engagement with reactive support, especially when handling a large portfolio of clients. Additionally, adapting to new product updates and ensuring clients are educated on best practices can require ongoing learning and strong communication skills. Success in these roles often depends on effective time management, collaboration, and the ability to quickly resolve complex issues.

Job description

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Naoris Quantum Protocol Inc. is a fast-growing post-quantum digital trust infrastructure company that has developed a decentralized trust validation platform designed to provide continuous, verifiable digital trust for critical infrastructure and enterprise systems. Our Founder, has more than 20 years of experience as Ethical Hacker and C-Level roles in regulated and critical areas. Advisor to multi-billion-dollar businesses and nation- state projects in cyber espionage, cyber war and cyber terrorism mitigation. Our platform addresses a fundamental shift in cybersecurity requirements: modern infrastructure can no longer merely assume trust but must prove it continuously.

Founded in 2026 and backed by leading venture investors, we have grown rapidly to serve enterprise customers across financial services, healthcare, and critical infrastructure. With a strong ARR trajectory and a clear path to market leadership, we are preparing for an IPO this fall — one of the most exciting milestones in our company's history.

This is a rare opportunity to join a high-impact finance team at an inflection point: you will help build the financial infrastructure, controls, and reporting rigor that will carry us from high-growth startup to public company — and beyond.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team at a pivotal moment. As we approach our IPO this fall, you will play a critical role in strengthening our financial close process, ensuring audit-ready accuracy in our SaaS revenue accounting, and serving as the primary power user of NetSuite. You will work cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, FP&A, and our external auditors to support accurate financial reporting and drive the process improvements required of a public company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Revenue Accounting & ASC 606

• Own end-to-end revenue recognition for SaaS subscription, professional services, and usage-based contracts in accordance with ASC 606.

• Review and analyze customer contracts to identify and document performance obligations, transaction prices, and allocation methodologies.

• Maintain and reconcile deferred revenue, unbilled AR, and contract asset schedules on a monthly basis.

• Partner with Deal Desk and Sales Operations on complex contract structures, including multi-element arrangements and variable consideration.

• Prepare and post revenue-related journal entries and ensure proper month-end cut-off.

NetSuite Administration & Optimization

• Serve as a primary NetSuite user and subject-matter expert, supporting system configuration, user access, and integrations.

• Build and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and workflows within NetSuite to support month-end close and management reporting.

• Lead system improvement initiatives including automation of recurring journal entries, intercompany eliminations, and consolidations.

• Collaborate with IT and finance leadership on system upgrades, data integrity audits, and new module implementations.

Month-End Close & Financial Reporting

• Manage a defined set of general ledger accounts through the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items within established timelines.

• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.

• Assist with external audit requests, including preparing PBC schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.

Process Improvement & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Identify and implement opportunities to streamline accounting processes, reduce manual effort, and improve reporting accuracy.

• Support internal controls documentation and compliance with SOX or equivalent frameworks.•

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• CPA designation (or active CPA candidate) preferred.

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a SaaS or subscription-based technology company.

• Demonstrated expertise in ASC 606 revenue recognition, including multi-element arrangements and contract modifications.

• Hands-on proficiency with Sage Intacct, including report building, dimensions, and workflow configuration.

• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, complex formulas); experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) a plus.

• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

• Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with Salesforce CRM and CPQ, including Salesforce-to-Intacct integration.

• Familiarity with billing platforms such as Zuora, Chargebee, or Maxio (formerly SaaSOptics/Chargify).

• Exposure to international consolidations, multi-currency accounting, and intercompany transactions.

• Prior experience in a high-growth, VC- or PE-backed SaaS company.

• Experience supporting a Big 4 or regional CPA firm audit.

• Prior involvement in an IPO readiness process, S-1 preparation, or SEC reporting (10-K/10-Q) highly valued.

• Background in cybersecurity, SaaS security, or enterprise technology sectors a plus.

WHAT WE OFFER

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience, plus annual performance bonus.

• Pre-IPO equity (stock options) — the opportunity to share in the value we are building together.

• Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) with company match.

• Flexible work environment with hybrid or remote options.

• Generous PTO, paid holidays, and paid parental leave.

• Professional development support including CPA exam reimbursement and continuing education budget.

• A front-row seat to a defining moment — working alongside experienced operators and investors as we take the company public.

• Collaborative, inclusive culture with clear paths for career advancement in a post-IPO public company environment.
