Who we're looking for
Toyota Tennessee's Environmental & Facilities Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Skilled Team Member - Facilities Operations.
The primary responsibility of this role is to support manufacturing facility operations at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Tennessee.
Reporting to the Environmental & Facilities Operations Group Leader, the person in this role will support the Environmental & Facilities department's objective to help lead design and construction along with operational systems development for Toyota Motor Manufacturing Tennessee.
What you'll be doing
  • Work with a "Safety First" mindset, using principles such as 'Customer First and Respect for Team Members' along with learning & implementing the core foundation of the Toyota Production System in day-to-day operations.
  • Supporting daily operations and maintenance for plant utility and building systems - Power, cooling water, compressed air, HVAC, water supply, wastewater, and dust collection equipment.
  • Building and site maintenance - roofs, interior trim, exterior, parking lots, sidewalks, land management
  • Work details included but not limited to:
    • Starting Pay: $35.90
    • Schedule: Friday - Sunday 6am-6:30pm
    • Electrical: change out lighting, outlets, troubleshoot electrical problems.
    • Mechanical: change out pumps, piping, valves, drill and tap holes, anchor equipment (e.g. air compressor repair, cooling tower repair, heating and cooling unit, fire systems).
    • Plumbing: repair toilets and urinals, repair work on lift stations & cooling towers, chemical line repair.
    • Quality checks: water, pH, Chlorine, air compressor, switch gear, chemical checks, fire system.
    • Preventative maintenance: cooling tower, MVR, boiler, lift station, bathroom, HVAC, HVU, vacuum filter, water systems.
    • Office suite: sheet rock repair, painting, flooring, ceiling tile, lighting repair and replacement, remodel, desk repair, chair repair, signs, doors.
    • Computer work: excel, word, power point, smart sheet and Maximo (i.e. write instructions, complete work orders).

What you bring
  • Experience in Facilities Maintenance in manufacturing industry.
  • Experience working in a team environment (2+ years)
  • Knowledge of Allen Bradley and/or Mitsubishi PLC programming (2+ years)
  • Preventive Maintenance activities (2+ years)
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex issues (2+ years)
  • Ability to read / understand mechanical & electrical schematics (2+ years)
  • Demonstrated capability to perform systematic problem solving to identify root cause and countermeasures (2+ years)
  • Must be willing to work weekends and in the evening
  • Demonstrated ability to perform failure diagnosis, including identifying and reporting on failure of components (yes/no)
  • Passing score on required assessments

Added Bonus if you have
  • 2 or 4-year technical focused college degree (i.e. electrical / mechanical / industrial technology)
  • Experience with changepoints or start up of new systems (2+ yrs)
