Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Architectural Documentation: Plan and design the structure of technology systems, build and document the architecture and roadmap to transform the current state into an improved end-state for data, processes, and technology.
  • Plan and design the structure of technology systems, discuss/present these with the client. Work with senior IT personnel to devise plans for future IT requirements of the organization Cloud & Systems Support: Provide technical architecture support for DHS hosting environments, specifically Azure, AWS, and the Tririga/Maximo Application Suite.
  • Help resolve technical problems as and when they arise Compliance Assessment: Ensure systems satisfy DHS enterprise architecture standards, Review and assess the system, application, technical, and infrastructure architecture for compliance with DHS technical standards and best practices.
  • Enterprise Architecture (EA) Compliance: Provide technical guidance to ensure that all developed solutions and IT hardware/software must comply with Homeland Security Enterprise Architecture (HLS EA) policies, standards, and the Technical Reference Model (TRM).
  • Application Architecture: Ensure the system is designed for browser independence and utilize a responsive web design (RWD) approach. FedRAMP Certification Compliance: Ensure compliance with FedRAMP certification.
  • The infrastructure must operate in a cloud-based SaaS solution or a DHS Cloud environment such as Microsoft Azure GovCloud. Develop and maintain documentation of federal certifications such as ATO (Authorization to Operate), FedRAMP and any other relevant certifications and provide support in obtaining ATO.
  • System Integration: Evaluate proposed interfaces between enterprise systems and recommend architectural methods for implementation.
  • Help resolve technical problems as and when they arise Technology Integration: The development effort includes configuring and integrating applications with emerging technologies such as Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, and Azure services.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Required expertise in designing solutions that include Office 365, SharePoint, and Azure Required in-depth knowledge of enterprise systems, networking modules, and software integration and previous work experience as a technical architect.
  • Experience in Tririga or Maximo implementations/support Proven experience with Microsoft Cloud Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) Excellent communication skills – adept at listening to, understanding, and explaining key concepts to managerial and technical resources.
  • Ability to see big-picture designs from basic specifications Ability to problem solve complex IT issues

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Familiarity with programming languages, operating systems, and Office software Experience in migration to Tririga or Maximo

Years of Experience: Minimum 8 years experience developing and managing solutions for applications, systems, and networks. This is a manager-level position and candidate must have experience in managing people and participating in Metric5 corporate activities

Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology or computer science Knowledge of computer hardware and networking systems

Salary: $150,000 - $175,000
