Job Summary:
Leeward Renewable Energy is seeking an experienced Maximo Specialist -Business Automation (P2) to join our team. LRE is self-performing operations and maintenance (O&M) services at select solar & BESS facilities and has developed processes and workflows built on the IBM Maximo MAS9 platform. We are seeking a resourceful program manager to leverage both internal and external resources to advance our O&M capabilities and efficiency. This role combines Maximo expertise with program management skills to improve automation and operational workflows.
The candidate will play a critical role in developing and optimizing work management and inventory processes, mostly for solar but also for wind and battery storage facilities. The candidate must have the ability to work collaboratively with plant administrators to ensure consistency and adherence to new procedures across our entire portfolio. The preferred location is the Dallas, Texas office. It provides a perfect opportunity for a professional looking for impactful work within a small team, the ability to expand their experience, work with all levels of the organization, and contribute to the company's success.
Responsibilities
  • Act as a Maximo super user and subject matter expert in development, implementation, and user support.
  • Integrate new Maximo modules or mobile applications that improve field operations efficiency through coordination with internal and external resources.
  • Oversee the deployment of mobile and digital tools that integrate with Maximo, enabling real-time data access and entry to optimize fieldwork.
  • Work with targeted users to define functional, training, testing, and Hypercare requirements
  • Provide Hypercare support and document bugs and issues as new Sites go LiveConduct training and testing for both field operations and administrative professionals on new and existing features.
  • Communicate changes effectively to stakeholders.
  • Mentor users in advanced Maximo applications, cultivating a network of skilled users who actively contribute to improved workflow efficiency.
  • Assess current Maximo and operational workflows to identify inefficiencies, recommending and implementing changes to maximize uptime, reliability, and productivity.
  • Drive end-to-end process improvements, collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine Maximo-enabled workflows.

Qualifications
  • Education: Associate or bachelor's degree plus certification in Maximo or other enterprise asset management (EAM) software.
  • Experience: minimum 5 years' experience with Maximo, SAP, or other EAM software; experience in power generation operations is preferred.
  • Technical Expertise: demonstrated implementation of Maximo modules, mobile platforms, and integration capabilities; familiarity with AI tools and automation techniques to support operational efficiencies is preferred.
  • Change Management: Experience leading successful change initiatives and continuous improvement projects in O&M contexts.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and training skills, either in-person or remotely.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in Maximo, Six Sigma, Lean Management, Agile or other related methodologies.
  • Experience with Maximo Application Suite (8 or 9)
  • Familiarity with industry standards and compliance frameworks (OSHA, ISO) for operational safety and excellence and performance in renewable energy plants.
  • Knowledge or familiarity with use of AI applications in operational planning and analysis
