Job Summary

The Buyer position is responsible for sourcing and procurement activities supporting Plants Calhoun, Central, Greene County, Lindsay Hill, Sabic and the NCCC. Duties include locating sources of supply, issuing requests for quotes, analyzing bids, negotiating, creating purchase orders (inventory, non-stock materials, and services), expediting, resolving supplier problems, and other supply chain duties as required. The Buyer spends considerable time and effort communicating and engaging with their business unit partners while performing the duties listed above.
