Job description

nLogic is seeking a Depot Electrical Sustainment Engineer to support mission-focused sustainment activities in a depot environment. This role will play a key part in supporting mission readiness by developing and maintaining technical documentation, performing reliability analysis, and supporting sustainment engineering activities for electrical power and control systems. This position is fully on-site in a depot environment supporting mission-critical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain troubleshooting guides, fault isolation procedures, and repair instructions for power distribution units, wiring harnesses, control panels, and other line-replaceable units (LRUs)
  • Produce, review, and approve electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and installation specifications using AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar tools
  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections and condition-based monitoring (e.g., IR thermography, vibration analysis) and generate reliability and trend reports
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to identify recurring issues and recommend corrective actions
  • Author and maintain technical documentation including work orders, test procedures, as-built drawings, maintenance manuals, and configuration records
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams, logistics personnel, quality inspectors, and vendors to schedule and execute repair and upgrade activities
  • Enforce compliance with electrical safety standards including NFPA 70E, OSHA, and depot safety programs; conduct safety briefings and hazard assessments
  • Support equipment upgrades and retrofits, including power distribution systems, UPS, battery systems, and control system modifications
  • Manage configuration control of engineering data within maintenance or asset management systems (e.g., SAP PM, IBM Maximo)
  • Participate in sustainment planning meetings and contribute to continuous improvement and reliability initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Must possess a current, in-scope Secret or higher security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program or closely related discipline
  • Minimum 3+ years of hands-on electrical engineering or maintenance experience in a depot, OEM, or military sustainment environment
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or SolidWorks Electrical
  • Knowledge of electrical power systems including distribution, grounding, UPS, and battery systems
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Familiarity using CMMS platforms (e.g., SAP PM, IBM Maximo) or similar maintenance systems
  • Must be able to work on-site in a depot environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • IPC Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) certification
  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE)
  • NFPA 70E Electrical Safety certification
  • OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification
  • Experience with PLC systems, including PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider)
  • Experience with condition-based monitoring tools (IR thermography, vibration analysis)
  • Hazardous Materials/HAZMAT handling (batteries, fuel cells)
  • Advanced use of AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or SolidWorks Electrical for large-scale schematic control
  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Teamcenter, Windchill)
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams during complex repair projects
  • Strong written communication for technical documentation and training materials
