About The Team:

We are a small cross-functional product team with a broad range of responsibilities and duties.We collaborate with product managers, UX and other development teams globally acrossResmed. We're passionate about solving problems across the entire software development lifecycle - whether that's investigating new technologies, frameworks and cloud services, developing new features, improving our CI/CD pipelines and test automation, finding new ways of leveraging AI or figuring out how to better automate our release process. We own features from development all the way through to production.We'realways up for a challenge and love learning new things!

What We Are Looking For:

We'relooking for awell roundedengineer who is confident working on the frontend, backend as well asbeready to dive in and work on a variety of other tasks including dev-ops and infrastructure related tasks. You should be comfortable working with AI tools such asGithubCopilot in yourday to daywork.You'llbe comfortable working both autonomously and as part of a team and will be willing to contribute to discussions and share your experience and ideas with the team. You will sometimes be working with cross functional teams across different time zones (primarily Sydney, Australia and Halifax, Canada).

Responsibilities include:

  • Expanding on the existing frameworks and services to implement new features and innovate on our software products

  • Ownership of feature projects that involve designing and architecting new microservices and micro-frontends. (Our application is a micro-frontend architecture built on React)

  • Working with others to design, implement and support our Kubernetes infrastructure and services

  • Extending our automated unit testing, integration testing frameworks, contracttestingand tooling

  • Implement security and performance improvements to our services

  • Production support (occasionally)

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.

  • Experience delivering production features with an object-oriented language (Java preferred).

  • Experience delivering production features with a Web Application Framework (React preferred).

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Solid ability in writing clean, maintainable code while following good engineering practices.

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Experience writing automated unit, e2e, integration and contract tests.

  • Experience working with task management tools such as Jira

  • Experience working with Monitoring tools such as Datadog

  • Experience coding with AI tools

  • Bachelor degree in computer scienceor equivalent

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Languages:Java,Typescript

  • Docker and Kubernetes (EKS) experience

  • Frameworks: Spring Boot, React

  • Version control system:Github

  • Testing: Jest, Playwright, JUnit

  • Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases

Individual pay decisions are based on a variety of factors, such as the candidate's geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.

At ResMed, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is:$111,000 - $167,000.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. This position is ineligible for Visa sponsorship at this time.
