As an Occupational Therapist at Motion Matrix Therapeutics, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations for new patients, establishing meaningful goals based on individual needs, and developing tailored treatment plans that promote recovery and skill development.
• Documenting all patient assessments, treatment sessions, and other significant interactions thoroughly to ensure accurate records and continuity of care.
• Educating patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment processes, and long-term management strategies to empower them in their healing journey.
• Maintaining open lines of communication with fellow rehabilitation team members, ensuring collaborative decision-making and cohesive patient care.
• Interacting with referring physicians to gather essential patient information, discussing treatment options, and making recommendations for modifications based on therapeutic progress.
• Engaging in quality improvement initiatives and mentoring rehabilitation support staff and interns, sharing knowledge and facilitating a culture of learning.
• Contributing to the development and marketing of therapy programs, exemplifying your role as a thought leader in the field.
• Actively pursuing continuing education opportunities through professional organizations, workshops, and conferences to stay updated on best practices and advancements in occupational therapy.
• Adhering to all organizational policies and procedures to uphold the integrity and safety of our practice.

In this role, you will primarily focus on children at risk for autism spectrum disorder, offering specialized assessments and therapies tailored to their unique needs. Your work will involve collaborating with families to understand the nuances of each case and developing strategies that enhance functional outcomes. The holistic approach emphasizes not just rehabilitation, but also preventive care and education, allowing you to contribute significantly to each patient's journey toward improved development and independence.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy, alongside a valid occupational therapy license. You should demonstrate an understanding of evidence-based practices and possess a passion for working with diverse patient populations. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate both independently and collaboratively are critical to success in this role.

Although a Bachelor’s degree is required, candidates with a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy or relevant advanced education will be considered favorably. Experience in pediatric settings or working with developmental disorders, particularly autism spectrum disorder, will set you apart as an applicant. Familiarity with occupational therapy tools and assessment methodologies will be beneficial to your practice.

Motion Matrix Therapeutics offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 90,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
