Job description

Recruiting & Training Specialist at FORMA Construction Company

For 40 years, FORMA Construction Company has been serving public agencies and private businesses across Western Washington. To expand our passion for working in local communities, we are seeking a highly motivated individual to supplement our growing project teams as a Senior Project Manager.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Overall project performance and compliance with FORMA standards (jobsite administration, subcontractor payments, scheduling).
  • Clear and accurate projections and financial analysis.
  • Analysis and substantiation of CPM schedule delays.
  • Owner dispute resolution and maintenance of positive relationships / reputation for company.
  • Establishment and maintenance of successful labor relations on site.
  • Creation and implementation of development plans and reviews for PEs, PMs, and other relevant staff.
  • Participation in procurement of work for the company:
  • Existing client maintenance
  • Active pursuit of new clients and participation in BD activities, active in relevant industry / community organizations to promote / improve company.
  • Provide strategic input and win strategies for hard bid work through active sponsorship at the direction of Estimating, and participation in the preparation of proposals & statements of quals.
  • Coordinate Preconstruction Responsibility Matrix as necessary.
  • Provide phasing, coordination, constructability, and cost feedback during Preconstruction.
  • Subcontract and purchase order negotiation.
  • Final approval and execution of purchase orders and subcontracts.
  • Approval of estimate to be rolled over into JC, to be coordinated with Superintendent.
  • Responsible for final closeout of all assigned projects.

The Senior Project Manager understands all FORMA processes and expectations for PM/PE/Superintendent duties and has overall responsibility for the financial health, profitability, and success of the project. The Senior PM is expected to be actively involved in mentoring and developing PEs and PMs as well as taking a strong role to improve FORMA’s internal processes and practices. The SPM is involved in the procurement of new work, through hard bid sponsorship activities as directed by Estimating, participating in RFPs and/or engaging in BD activities that promote the company.
