Job description

As a member of the Connected Vehicle & Mechatronics Engineering team, and reporting to the Validation Team Leader, you will be responsible for validating our systems, and in particular, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) as a testing and simulation solution for the various electrical and mechatronic systems equipping our BRP vehicles.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Develop and execute test plans necessary for the validation of electronic modules, electrical systems, and embedded software, taking into account established norms and standards;

  • Develop simulation models for the validation systems of embedded modules;

  • Support mechatronics project engineers in the verification and validation of technical specifications (TRD);

  • Develop and maintain the equipment and software necessary for the validation of electronic modules, electrical systems, and embedded software.

YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a strong interest in embedded software programming;

  • One (1) to three (3) years of relevant experience;

  • Essential bilingualism (French/English), both written and spoken.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;

  • Understanding of the transfer of physical phenomena -> sensors -> analog signal -> module (processing) -> action or communication protocol;

  • Understanding and ability to integrate electrical, electronic, software, and mechanical principles;

  • Attention to detail (rigor and discipline).

Assets:

  • Knowledge of dSPACE Validation tools;

  • Knowledge of agile software development management tools (JIRA, PTC);

  • Knowledge of the Matlab Simulink environment;

  • Knowledge of communication protocols: CAN BUS, I2C, SPI, UDP, TCP.
