Math Instructor/Tutor for Higher Math (part-time) - Katy and Fulshear, TX

We are looking for passionate, friendly, and enthusiastic people who enjoy helping kids. We will teach you everything else you need to know!

We are currently looking for energetic and passionate Math Instructors who have a strong math background and be able to work with Jr. HS, and HS students. Must be able to teach Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, and AP-Calculus. Being able to teach SAT/ACT prep courses, and Calculus is a plus. Must have strong communication skills and love to work with children.
At this time, we are looking for High School & Jr. HS Math Instructors only. (Pre-Algebra, Algebra I to Pre-Calculus)

Qualifications and Skills

  • Teaching experience and Teaching certificates are preferred but not required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or math-related subjects is preferred. ( But we also welcome college students as long as they pass the Math competency test.)
  • Strong communication skill
  • Must pass a math competency test and background check.
  • Math proficiency through Pre-Calculus required. Calculus is preferred.
Center Hours

We are open Mon - Thur 3:30 - 8:00 PM, Saturday 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM, and Sun 2:00 - 5:00 PM. Must be able to work at least for two to three days a week.
Primary Objectives

  • Skilled in math concepts from High School Algebra I to Calculus
  • Ability to connect with parents and children
  • Experience working with children preferred
  • Teach/tutor in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices
  • Work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting
  • Assess students learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions
  • Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes
  • Support the maintenance of a safe and professional learning environment
Flexible Hours

This is a part-time position with flexible hours. Days and hours will vary but generally afternoon, evenings, and weekends. Pay will be based on education and experience.
