Job description

As an Integrated Assessment Engineer with MTSI you will plan and execute system of systems assessment for increments of the DAF BATTLE NETWORK as they are delivered. You will be providing technical and programmatic advice and support services on a suite of advanced weapon systems, sensors, and computer processing related technologies and programs.
Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
  • Providing critical technical advisory support to integration planning and implementation for the DAF PEO C3BM Battle Network. This position requires active collaboration across multiple organizations and lines of effort.
  • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience supporting:
  • Assessment planning (developing assessment plans, analysis objectives, key system of system metrics, etc.) to support system of systems assessment
  • Data collection (develop data collection strategy, instrumentation, etc.) to support analysis objectives
  • Data analysis (analyze data from exercises and assessment events)
  • Development of acquisition interoperability strategies for a complex multi-system-of-systems (SoS) information technology architecture
  • Executing the mission engineering process
  • Drafting (SoS) requirements
  • Developing DAF Battle Network architecture
  • Developing consulting with numerous program representatives to evaluate functional requirements
  • Supporting government officials in approval of acquisition documents (e.g. acquisition strategies)
  • Monitoring & advising on program execution/integration (e.g. schedule, risks) on behalf of government officials.
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience supporting cross-functional teams across an enterprise, combination system of systems.
  • 3+ years of experience working on classified and special access programs.
  • Knowledge and experience with digital engineering and modern model-based technologies, such as: model-based systems engineering (MBSE), or model-based design (MBD), model-based definition, manufacturing, and inspection (MBDMI), model-based services and MRO.
  • Knowledge and experience working in Agile / Scrum teams, including daily standups, retrospectives, demos/reviews.
  • Experience with system of systems analysis, requirements development, and requirements documentation.
  • Experience with modern architecture frameworks and designs.
  • Must have a high level of motivation, be adept at exploring and learning about new technologies, and have a demonstrated record of successfully taking ownership and responsibility for projects.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task, respond to quick turn-around requests, and produce quality products with minimal oversight.
  • Possess exceptional written and oral communication skills, can develop clear, concise, and logically written business communications, as well as deliver recommendations.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness working in a complex, service-intensive, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to build strong relationships to leverage information and insights across key groups.
  • Strong personal leadership, organizational, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.

Desired Requirements:
  • Experience working on-site in a government client environment.
  • 5+ years of experience with Model-Based Enterprise.
  • Knowledge and experience with the Air Force Research Laboratory's framework, directives, and policies.

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or other relevant discipline.
  • (Highly Desired) Master's in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or other relevant discipline.

Clearance Requirements:
  • Possess an active TS security clearance with SCI and SAR eligibility

This position will be located on-site at Hanscom AFB (preferred) or Wright-Patterson AFB.
