POSITION:

TEMPORARY LECTURERS IN MATHEMATICS: The Department of Mathematics
invites applications for a pool of part-time teaching appointments. Candidates selected will teach one or a combination of non-calculus-based lower division mathematics courses in the Mathematics Department. This position is contingent upon the availability of authorized funding.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A Master's degree or equivalent in mathematics, mathematics education, or related field is required. Prior successful teaching experience at the college level preferred.

COMPENSATION:

Salary is based on qualifications and experience.  As a member of the 23-campus CSU System, we offer an extremely competitive benefits package.

Newly hired lecturers with terminal degrees are placed in Range 3 of the salary schedule and others are normally placed in Range 2. Starting salaries are usually at or near the minimum of the range. The full-time (15 units per semester) monthly base salaries indicated in the schedules are prorated based on the number of units assigned and are paid in six monthly payments for each full semester. CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CLEARANCE NOTICE

The university requires a criminal and/or child abuse background check to be completed for many of its new employees, current employees seeking promotional or transfer opportunities, and current employees assigned new duties. Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) is required for employment.
